Water filter systems, installed properly

Perth's scheme water is safe to drink, but plenty of households do not enjoy drinking it — the taste, the chlorine, the sediment and scale that shortens the life of everything it runs through. A filter fixes that, provided it is the right filter and it is plumbed in properly.

We install whole-house systems and under-sink units, including for suppliers who send their installs our way. The plumbing side matters more than the marketing does: correct isolation, accessible cartridge changes, and no pressure loss at the far end of the house.

What we handle

  • Whole-house filtration systems, installed and commissioned
  • Under-sink drinking water filters and dedicated taps
  • Sediment, carbon and multi-stage cartridge systems
  • Fridge and ice-maker water connections
  • Cartridge changes and system servicing
  • Retrofits where an existing system was installed badly

Worth knowing

Whole-house or under-sink?

Under-sink handles drinking and cooking water at one tap and is the cheaper answer if taste is the whole complaint. Whole-house protects the hot water unit, the washing machine and every shower from sediment and scale — worth it if you are on bore water, or if scale is already costing you appliances.

Access is the thing people regret

Cartridges need changing every six to twelve months. A system installed somewhere awkward becomes a system nobody maintains, which is worse than no system at all.

Common questions

Do I need a plumber to install a water filter?

For anything plumbed into the mains, yes — it is regulated plumbing work, and a badly connected filter is a leak waiting to happen inside a cabinet you rarely open. Jug filters obviously need nobody.

How often do the cartridges need replacing?

Typically every six to twelve months depending on the system and your water usage. We will tell you which cartridge yours takes and roughly what it costs, so you are not locked into ringing us for a part you can buy yourself.

Will a filter fix hard water and scale?

A standard filter reduces sediment and taste but does not soften water. If scale is your actual problem — kettle furring up, marks on glass, hot water elements failing early — that is a different piece of equipment, and we will say so rather than sell you the wrong one.
